The Yorba Linda Middle School Performing Band and Color Guard, known as the Bobcat Regiment, competed alongside other local schools in the Placentia Band Review on Saturday, October 8. It was the first time in many years that the school competed.
“We are very proud of the students for their dedication to music and to this experience, and getting out there in a competitive setting,” shared Matt LaBelle, Director of Instrumental Music.
The YLMS Color Guard ended up earning the Sweepstakes Award at the 2022 Placentia Band Review! This award is the highest honor a Color Guard can receive and we are so proud of you for representing the Bobcat Regiment!
Following the competitive band review, the band and guard performed at a home for the elderly and entertained families through the Heritage Days Parade.
