Woodsboro Elementary School hosted a Dads and Doughnuts event last week. All dads were invited to come to school with their children at 7 a.m. to enjoy orange juice and doughnuts with their children in the multipurpose room. About 275 dads walked onto campus with their sons and daughters – and what a wonderful sight it was!
The traffic that typically surrounds the school was not an issue because of their consideration. Dads parked away from the school and walked in, giving them extra time to spend with their kids. Some students came with uncles or grandpas if Dad was not available. There were lots of smiles from happy dads as they went off to work that morning, as well as delighted children because their dads took the time to come to school with them.
