Esperanza High School’s AVID students recently took a field trip to the University of California, Irvine (UCI) to tour the campus and see what the Anteaters have to offer. Students had the opportunity to see what college life is like, from the dining hall to classrooms and the bookstore. It was a great way to get students excited about the goal of college after high school!
AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a national non-profit organization devoted to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
