Esperanza High School students in College and Career classes participate in mock interviews with PYLUSD leaders

Dress for success at EHS.

Students in Mr. Rex and Ms. Sawyer’s College and Career Readiness classes at Esperanza High School had their Dress For Success/Mock Interviews this week. Students created a resume and then practiced being interviewed. They also had a chance to be the interviewer. District and site administrators, and teachers on special assignment, conducted these “Conversations With Kids” as a part of the students’ summative assessments.

Each student greets their interviewer and shares their resume with them to start their conversation.  According to teacher Sue Sawyer, they did a fantastic job.

Sue also shared, “We were fortunate enough to have both Dr. Matthews and Dr. Adamson have time in their schedules to take part in this event. A special thanks to all of the teachers that signed their Dress For Success Verification forms.”
