Great Kindness Challenge brings joyful moments to students and staff alike at Rose Drive Elementary

Rose Drive great kindness challenge.

Rose Drive Elementary School scholars are committed to kindness! During the Great Kindness Challenge, Rose Drive’s Kindness Squad planned and implemented a full week of kindness acts of service and “kindness challenges” to share with their fellow roadrunners. Kindness challenges included activities such as a “find the hidden kind words around campus” scavenger hunt, writing kindness notes to share with others, pledging to be kind on Rose Drive’s “Spread Kindness Like Confetti” banner, reading a book about kindness, as well as playing a game with a new friend and helping them smile.  Additionally, Rose Drive scholars signed a kindness poster to send love to their role models and former peers at Yorba Linda Middle School.

It was a wonderful week filled with great excitement, and that excitement continued with the Global Day of Play the following week. The Rose Drive scholars had so much fun celebrating “play” with extended recess, chalk art on the playground, dancing, board games, Legos, big and little buddy activities, kickball games, and so much more! Each of these fun, student-centered events highlighted Rose Drive’s current character traits of the month; Team Spirit, Kindness, and Friendship!

Rose Drive scholars have another fantastic thing to look forward to—a Gaga Ball court will soon find its new home at Rose Drive! The community at Rose Drive is so thankful to have another fun opportunity for students to connect and collaborate through the joy of play.

Rose Drive great kindness challenge.
