Rio Vista teachers attend conference in order to bolster college and career readiness

On Monday, Jan. 25, and Tuesday, Jan. 26, Rio Vista Elementary School Principal Rafael Plascencia and a group of dedicated teachers attended the No Excuses University (NEU) institute in San Diego. The focus of the two days was to strengthen the district’s college and career initiatives.

The institute is driven by these core values:

  1. Every student has the right to be educated in a way that prepares them for college.
  2. It is the responsibility of educators to create six exceptional systems that makes college a reality.
