Preppy K, also known as transitional kindergarten, is one of the new programs implemented at Parkview School this year. It is taught by Mrs. Kim Rothenberger, a veteran teacher in the district. Fifteen four and five year olds attend each Tuesday and Friday. The students are introduced to curriculum through experiences and play; math, science, social studies, language arts and social skills. Prior to teaching Preppy K, Mrs. Rothenberger taught a variety of classes and grade levels at Parkview, and has kindergarten and first grade experience from her many years at Woodsboro Elementary School. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Parkview’s Preppy K program.
