El Dorado’s Layne Williams to represent Team USA at synchronized ice skating competition in Scotland

El Dorado High School senior Layne Williams is looking forward to a busy month of competitive synchronized ice skating. Williams skates for Team USA, and will represent our country in Scotland from Monday, Feb. 8, through Tuesday, Feb. 16, before heading back to Detroit for Nationals at the end of the month. Layne’s social science teacher, Sunshine Cavalluzzi, describes her as, “One of the best students in the senior class, and also as kind, thoughtful, humble and delightful a kid as you could find.”

Additionally, Layne was featured in an Orange County Register article highlighting her selection to the 2016 U.S. Figure Skating Scholastic Honors Team.

EDHS is proud to call Layne a Golden Hawk!
