Rose Drive astronomy night

Rose Drive Elementary School held its annual third grade astronomy night on Wednesday, Feb. 3, a service donated and hosted by the Orange County Astronomers’ Outreach Program. Thanks to some very impressive telescopes, students and parents had the chance to view some of the following: planets Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune; star clusters within the Cassiopeia, Perseus, Pleiades, Puppis, Lepus, Auriga, Gemini, Hydra, Praesepe (Beehive) and Canis Major constellations; the Andromeda and Triangulum galaxies; and the Rosette and Orion nebulas. Thank you to the Orange County Astronomers for this very generous and highly valuable experience. Rose Drive students had a blast viewing these incredible sights from its very own playground.
