Rose Drive takes on Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour, rewards math leaders

Rose Drive Elementary School families and staff took Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour by storm this past Wednesday evening, Feb. 17. Not only were students treated to time with friends, family and ice cream, they were also rewarded with the extra special treat of being served by their own teachers. How many students can say that? Word must have gotten around, because the line was an hour-deep by 7 p.m. as families eagerly waited for tables. Teachers spent the evening bringing water and soda, clearing tables, and simply socializing with students and their families. A generous 15 percent of all purchases from the evening will go back to support Rose Drive. Thanks Farrell’s!

Rose Drive rewards 50 percent
Setting goals and staying on track are two things that teachers talk about daily at Rose Drive. So when students meet their goals, the staff tends to make a big deal about it. Students in every class who met the 50 percent challenge in Spatial-Temporal (ST) Math were rewarded with certificates of completion this week. Way to go Roadrunners! The next goal is 75 percent completion by March 25. Pictured are Mr. Armbrust’s third grade recipients of this highly coveted certificate.
