Kindergarten students at Glenknoll use iPads to solve math problems

As part of Glenknoll Elementary School’s Cognitive Guided Instruction (CGI) program for math, students in Ms. Angie Taylor’s kindergarten class use their new iPads to project math skills on the electronic whiteboard. The students attempt to solve word problems in several ways on the app. When they are finished, they press a button to see if their solution was correct. The students are engaging in problem-solving strategies, math discussions and listening to each other’s perspectives. They are excited to use this technology to learn more about math.
