Esperanza’s Bronson Osborn breaks Orange County shot put record

Bronson Osborn, a junior at Esperanza High School, won the Corona Relays on Saturday, Feb. 27, with a massive throw of 70 feet, even. This victory also moves Bronson into fourth place on the all-time state list, breaking a 1985 county meet record in the process. Osborn’s throw broke the all-time county record with the 70-00.00 launch in the fourth and final round. He becomes just the 24th thrower in national history to reach to 70-foot plateau, and only the fourth Californian.
