Mrs. Osborn’s fourth grade class at Rose Drive Elementary School experienced firsthand this week the techniques needed to create an impressionistic piece of art. Having studied California native artist Guy Rose, who specialized in landscapes on the California coast, students were encouraged to apply their knowledge by painting of their own impressionistic landscapes. What a terrific way to bring history and art together, while developing a love for the beautiful outdoors!
