Valencia High School’s AVID program is proud to announce that nearly two-thirds of its seniors have already been accepted to a four-year university! Students received a Valencia AVID “Accepted to College” T-shirt in recognition of this great accomplishment. Even more acceptances are anticipated to pour in over the next few weeks.
Universities that the students have been accepted to include University of California, Riverside; University of California, Merced; California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; California State University, Fullerton; San Francisco State University; and the University of Arizona, to name a few.
Valencia’s AVID program traditionally boasts an 85 percent acceptance rate for four-year universities, and this senior class is anticipated to surpass that percentage. Over 90 percent of Valencia’s AVID seniors will be the first in their families to attend a college or university.
