Parkview’s Lindsay Prescott nominated as “Artists of the Year”

Lindsay Prescott, one of Parkview School’s many talented students, has been chosen as one of the Orange County Register‘s top 10 “Artists of the Year” in the area of dance.

Lindsay’s dancing was influenced by her mother and grandmother, both dancers/choreographers. Lindsay was enrolled in her first dance class at the age of three. She’s been mentored and trained by some of the most influential choreographers and artists in the industry. She has used their guidance and knowledge, along with her strong work ethic, to propel herself to the level of professional she is today.

At 12 years old, Lindsay competed in the Hip Hop International dance competition in Las Vegas. Performing in front of more than 10,000, her team placed second and fourth in the competition.

Lindsay’s passion for dance has enabled her to be successful in other areas of her life. Her dance career has led her to pursue another passion: acting. The many auditions – and rejections that go along with it – only motivates her more. Lindsay believes these rejections make her a more determined and positive teenager. Lindsay’s love of dance is evident in the many videos, auditions and performances she’s shared with the world.

She is an honor’s student taking AP classes, and an active member of student leadership.

Lindsay’s future plans include taking her personal experiences and knowledge of dance and teaching others about overcoming obstacles and accomplishing their goals through dance.

Parkview is proud to call Lindsay one of their own. Congrats!
