A BOOST for PYLUSD Child Care

From April 27 through April 29, 13 representatives from the district’s Child Care Program attended the Best-Out-of-School Time (BOOST) Conference in Palm Springs. This conference is the most recognized and comprehensive global event for after school, expanded learning, and out-of-school time professionals. Child Care staff were able to choose from more than 125 exceptional workshops that provided the latest trends and research in innovative and quality out-of-school time programming. Some of the classes included Expanding Student Success, Social Emotional Learning, Developing 21st Century Competencies, and Quality Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Expanded Learning, just to name a few. The lead teachers and program supervisors will share ideas at upcoming leadership team meetings, and are excited to try new approaches with students.
