What an incredible weekend for the high school jazz programs in PYLUSD! Here are the highlights:
All four comprehensive high schools in the district received unanimous superior ratings with their top ensemble, and numerous soloist medals were earned by individual musicians in each of the ensembles and combos.
El Dorado High School
- El Dorado Combo #1 took first place in the “AA” Jazz Combo division
- El Dorado Jazz Ensemble #1 took second place in the “AAA” Band division
Esperanza High School
- Esperanza Combo #1 took second place in the “AAA” Jazz Combo division
- Esperanza Jazz Ensemble #1 took third place in the “AAA” Band division
- Esperanza Jazz Ensemble #2 took second place in the “APII” Band division
Valencia High School
- Valencia Jazz Ensemble earned unanimous superior ratings
Yorba Linda High School
- Yorba Linda Jazz Ensemble #1 took second place in the “AA” Band division
