Congratulations to Valencia High School junior Ronnie Velasquez on being named the OC Varsity football “Defensive Player of the Week.” The inside linebacker (6-0, 215) recorded nine total tackles, including a sack and a tackle for loss, and added a pass breakup to help the Tigers defeat previously undefeated Laguna Hills, 35-0. Valencia (5-0) has allowed only 30 points this season.
