Kindergarten story time at Rose Drive Elementary

Usually, the kindergarten teacher is the one who carefully selects an age-appropriate story she knows her students will love, and then proceeds to use her well-practiced skills to bring the characters to life. Last week at Rose Drive Elementary School, those roles were reversed.

Kindergarten student Ella Mimun selected her favorite book to bring to class and read to her teacher and peers. Ella did such a super job, that Mrs. Rogers invited her to read the story for Rose Drive’s Principal Linda Adamson.

Ella’s reading of “The Pigeon Wants a Puppy” was expressive, entertaining, dramatic and hugely entertaining.

When asked if she enjoyed reading, Ella responded, “I LOVE reading. I’ve been doing it since I was three!” That was very obvious, judging by the passion and skill Ella showed. Thanks to Ella for sharing her favorite book with Rose Drive — the students and staff loved every minute!
