YLHS raises money for pediatric cancer research at football game

On Friday, Sept. 23, the Yorba Linda High School football team took on El Dorado High School at Shapell Stadium. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, pediatric cancer survivors were honored before the game. Eleven-year-old Cancer Warrior Jack Benson, a student at Travis Ranch School, flipped the coin to start the game at 7 p.m.

Over 500 T-shirts where donated by the Restivo family, which were given out as students entered the game. Additionally, nearly $1,000 was raised for pediatric cancer awareness at the game by the Mustang football team, YLHS Cheer and Song, and the high school’s associated student body (ASB).

Please consider making a donation in Jack Benson’s honor at www.giveabuckfund.org.
