Congratulations to Valencia High School Sinfonia Orchestra member Valerie Narumi for being one of 10 high school students in the nation to receive a Chopin Foundation scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year.
The scholarship is earned through an annual piano competition with hundreds of students competing each year. The purpose of the Chopin Foundation Scholarship Program is to support and encourage young, talented American pianists through up to four years of preparation for the National Chopin Piano Competition of the United States, which is held in Miami every five years.
