Parents attend special education advocacy meeting, receive valuable information

The Northeast Orange County SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area) Community Advisory Committee (CAC) hosted an open meeting for parents of special education students on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the district’s Professional Development Academy (PDA). The subject of the meeting was “Overview of the Special Education Process.”

This meeting was well attended by parents looking to get more information on special education services offered by PYLUSD and the Brea Olinda Unified School District. The next CAC meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at the PDA. If you are interested in advocating on behalf of children with exceptional needs, please plan on attending.
