Four Yorba Linda High School student-musicians – seniors Adam Carrillo and Cory Hoo, junior Michael Frelly, and freshman Natalie Suvarnasuddhi – will be marching as part of the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Parade Honor Band on Monday, Jan. 2.

This talented ensemble, made up of Pasadena City College band members and selected exceptional high school musicians, has participated in every Rose Parade since 1930.

The students’ schedule is rigorous, with rehearsals held every Sunday in November and December, including most days of winter break. To prepare for the five-mile trek, the Honor Band will march over 25 miles during practice.

In addition to the Rose Parade, the group will have four more performances, including a special concert at Disneyland.
