District hosts “A Winter Music Festival,” featuring high school choirs at Valencia

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the choirs from PYLUSD’s four comprehensive high schools (El Dorado, Esperanza, Valencia and Yorba Linda) performed a variety of holiday classics as part of the annual “A Winter Music Festival” concert.

This year, the event was held in the newly remodeled auditorium at Valencia High School.

The Sinfonia Orchestra from El Dorado also performed festive selections, and then joined the choirs for their final combined piece, the “Hallelujah Chorus.” This grand finale was directed by El Dorado Choir Director Bil Peterson, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

Special thanks to Bil Peterson, El Dorado Sinfonia Orchestra Director Paul Grant, Esperanza Choir Director Michael Fenton, Valencia Choir Director Megan Arthurton and Yorba Linda Choir Director Carol Gilfoy.
