El Dorado Interact, AVID students help out at the Heritage Day pancake breakfast

On Saturday, Oct. 10, five students from El Dorado High School’s Interact Club volunteered at the Placentia Heritage Day pancake breakfast. They served the community alongside Placentia’s Rotary Club, Valencia High School’s Interact Club and California State University, Fullerton, Rotaract Club on what proved to be one of the hottest parade days in history.

In addition to serving pancakes, they also helped band members who were suffering from heat exhaustion. Emily Klee, Sam Lima, Yareli Palmas, Tania Gonzalez and Melissa Santos are also part of El Dorado’s AVID program.
