Bicycles for disadvantaged PYLUSD kids

Bernardo Yorba Middle School Assistant Principal Steve Marshall and Ralph Garcia from the district’s maintenance and operations team unloaded and assembled bicycles on Saturday, Dec. 17, as part of a Bicycles for Children project.

Bicycles for Children is a Corona-based nonprofit founded in July 2012 with the goal of donating bicycles to impoverished children in the Corona/Norco Unified School District. The charity has grown in recent years, and now impacts PYLUSD children as well.

The bikes will be delivered to students by their  elementary principals over winter break. Steve has been coordinating with Bicycles for Children for several years to ensure that students in need have a Merry Christmas.
