Yorba Linda Middle School teacher Jodi Bonk named “Educator of the Year” finalist

On Thursday, Jan. 19, Yorba Linda Middle School language arts/social science teacher Jodi Bonk was recognized as the winner of the California League of Middle Schools (CLMS) “Educator of the Year” award for Region 11. She was selected out of five finalists recognized that night at the Long Beach Yacht Club.

Jodi will now move on to represent Region 11 at the state competition, which will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, in Sacramento during the California League of Schools Annual Conference. There are 11 regions in the state, and Region 11 consists of all of Orange County and the southern part of Los Angeles County.

In attendance to celebrate this honor were Jodi’s fellow teacher who nominated her, William Lin, Principal Cam Malotte (also a CLMS Trustee), and several teachers and administrators from YLMS.
