Three students serve as “Principal for the Day” at Topaz Elementary

On Friday, Jan. 27, three Topaz Elementary School students served as “Principals for the Day.” Ishita Pradhan, Kayla Lopez and Yomaris Madero Flores all earned and saved 100 Topaz “R.O.A.R.” cards in order to help out Principal Christa Borgese for the morning.

R.O.A.R. stands for Respectful, Organized, Achieving and Responsible.

The girls held a breakfast meeting, visited classrooms, made morning announcements, conducted a safety walk and finished up with lunch at Craftsman Wood Fired Pizza, where they also had the good fortune to meet Deputy Superintendent Candy Plahy.

When asked, the girls reported that their favorite parts of the day were seeing students make good choices, handing out awards and lunch at the restaurant.

Keep up the good work ladies!
