Kindergarten and Preppy K students at Lakeview Elementary School had a special celebration in honor of Chinese New Year on Friday, Jan. 27. They enjoyed a presentation by Mrs. Lin that detailed the rich history of the holiday, as well as the roots of its traditions. Students made Chinese paper lanterns, painted Chinese numbers and made their own dragons! They also got the opportunity to use chopsticks to eat some tasty treats, such as rice and crunchy noodles. It was a great way to celebrate the new year.
