Third grade authors at Rose Drive Elementary

Five Rose Drive Elementary School third graders from Mrs. Fast/Thorp’s class were selected to visit Principal Adamson last week to share their creativity and writing skills through stories they wrote describing something special they lost.

Those students include Layla Ruiz, Melani Cabudal, JP Fuller, Logan Johnson and Christian Isaac.

Students outlined an array of problem-solving strategies they followed in order to retrieve their special items, resulting in one adventure after another. Their expressive, articulate and engaging approach made for very interesting storytelling. Each story had its own unique perspective, and ended with the successful location of the lost items, which included Opie the hippo, Pipip the pig, a hat, a polar bear and a bear.
