Placentia-Yorba Linda Art Association high school art competition features PYLUSD students

All PYLUSD high schools were represented at the annual Placentia-Yorba Linda Art Association high school art competition. The awards and reception event was held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Placentia Library.

Esperanza
Five student-artists from Esperanza High School took home awards, including:

  • Ethan Moll – Most Creative Award and People’s Choice Award
  • Annie Hua – honorable mention
  • Justine Guzman – honorable mention
  • Naomi Stokes – honorable mention
  • Ilsa Bauer – honorable mention

Other EHS participants were Sophie Yarnovich, Somer Magnin and Chloe Murphy.

Yorba Linda
Several student-artists from Yorba Linda High School took home awards, including:

  • Margaryta Tumashyk – first prize
  • Derick Ma – second prize
  • Taylor Seo – President’s Award
  • McKenna Biegert – honorable mention

Other YLHS participants were Sadaf Tehranian, Isabella Braseny and Juliette Fournier.
