Rose Drive students show their colors

The Rose Drive Elementary School Roadrunners were excited about earning a themed free dress day for reaching their second school-wide incentive — $10,000 — for our Jog-A-Thon fundraiser. The PTA’s chosen theme, “Show Your Colors,” assigned each grade a different color, making for a very bright and colorful appearance on the playground that day.

Pictured are our enthusiastic first graders, sporting their color of the day — can you guess it? Mrs. Parmenter’s clever caption says it perfectly: “Orange you glad you’re a Roadrunner?”

Roadrunners look forward to their remaining two incentives for reaching the $20,000 goal: Teacher Swap Day on Oct. 23, and the highly anticipated teacher Pie/Whipped Cream Eating Contest on Nov. 9.
