On Thursday, Oct. 22, 40 sophomores, juniors and seniors from Esperanza High School’s Medical Sciences Academy had the opportunity to take a field trip to Kaiser Permanente in Anaheim. The students watched a reenactment of an appendectomy surgery, heard personal stories from Kaiser staff and asked questions to a panel of medical professionals.
