Kraemer Middle cellist performs on historic stage, wins LA competition

Ivette Chen playing the cello.

On Sunday, April 30, Kraemer Middle School student Ivette Chen took first place in the 2017 Los Angeles Bowed Strings Preliminary Competition sponsored by the California Chapter of the American String Teacher’s Association (CalASTA). Ivette’s advanced cello performance has earned her a spot in the 2017 CalASTA State Solo Competition.

The month of April was a busy one for the Kraemer Cub, as she also performed at Carnegie Hall, the historic concert venue located in the upper Manhattan area of New York City.  Keep up the good work, Ivette!
