This past week, kindergarten color groups at Rose Drive Elementary School featured a lesson with Mrs. Whaley that introduced “STOP” and “GO” foods – an explanation of those foods that are healthy and unhealthy for our bodies.
Kindergartners categorized foods according to the food diagram, created their own plates of food with pictures and were able to discuss whether their food choices were healthy or unhealthy with their group.
Teaching and practicing positive habits from a young age is the start of a lifetime of healthy living, and these students are certainly on their way!
