After reading the story “Moses Goes to a Concert,” Ruby Drive Elementary School teacher Mrs. Morrill brought music to life for her second grade students. Professional French Horn player, Laura Brenes, visited Mrs. Morrill’s class to teach about musical instrument families and to demonstrate playing various instruments.
The Ruby Drive Cougars enjoyed hearing about Mrs. Brenes’ job as a professional musician and her recent projects such as playing on the movie soundtracks for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, La La Land, Transformers: The Last Knight, Sing, and much more.
After answering questions about music and her career, Mrs. Brenes also reminded the young students to work hard, practice, and follow their dreams.
