PYLUSD Induction Colloquium encourages new teachers to ‘be the change’

On May 25, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) hosted its annual Induction Colloquium at the Professional Development Academy. Induction mentors, school and district administrators, and Board of Education members gathered to help honor 71 new teachers as they shared their portfolio of work from the school year.

Based on the event theme, “Be the Change,” Superintendent Greg Plutko spoke to the crowd about the importance of mentors and the guidance, both professional and personal, that they devotedly offer.

To close the colloquium, Induction Coordinator Melanie Carmona presented each new teacher with a certificate of completion and a PYLUSD pin.

Congratulations to our new teachers!
