Retiring Yorba Linda Middle principal shows passion for music

Following a 38-year career in education, Yorba Linda Middle School (YLMS) Principal, Cameron Malotte, is retiring.  Throughout his career, Mr. Malotte has always been heavily involved in music programs, especially at YLMS and Bernardo Yorba Middle School.

At a recent YLMS concert, Mr. Malotte was captured doing the ‘hand jive’ to the tune of the school’s Performing Band (pictured above).  Previously, he was given the opportunity to conduct YLMS students to the music of “Grease.”  This was a special moment for Mr. Malotte, as the music of “Grease” was the first he ever conducted 38 years ago with a former high school band.
