The week of June 19, Valencia High School teacher, Steve Picht, led a group of 11 students and six adults on a nine-day educational tour of central Japan including the cities of Kyoto, Nara, Kamakura, and Tokyo.
After nine days in Japan, all participants returned with a profound appreciation for the Japanese people, culture, and incredibly modern society. This was the teachers’ third student trip to Japan in the past four years, and they’re planning to go back again in 2019!
The students were Janay Maisano, Greg Boscaiu, Emily Nguyen, Joshua Gonzalez, Antonia Guzman, Abel Plascencia, Camryn Spinney, Gino Peña, Clive Kuo, Lauren Mard, and Sara Mard.
