Congratulations to Ruby Drive Elementary 4th grader, Angela Flores, for winning OC Waste & Recycling’s 2017 Eco Challenge Poster Contest themed “Batting for a Green Planet.” Angela, along with four other winners from throughout Orange County, will be recognized in a pre-game, on-field ceremony before the Angels Baseball game on Friday, September 15.
According to OC Waste & Recycling, almost five hundred posters were entered into the contest, which challenged Orange County children between the ages of eight and 14 to illustrate the benefits of food and green waste recycling.
