Benchmark Advance comes to Parkview School

Parkview parents learn more about new curriculum and materials for their students.

Parkview School recently held two training sessions for parents using the new Language Arts program; Benchmark Advanced/Collections.  This two days of training was held Tuesday, August 30 for middle school parents and Thursday, August 31 for elementary parents. It was widely received by all.

Parents had the opportunity to receive expert training from the publisher’s trainers, as well as experience the online components of the programs. These training sessions were similar to the instruction the district teachers received. Parents also left with all the materials needed to ensure they’re able to teach their student.

A monthly planning session for parents has also been established by Stacy Owens, a Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District instructional leaders. Parents left the training enthusiastic and looking forward to using these new district language arts programs with their students.

Parkview looks forward to a very productive partnership with the publishers, staff, and parents this school year!
