Esperanza High implements special day class program

Esperanza HIgh School's special day class gets hands-on science practice with exciting curriculum.

The Esperanza High School (EHS) Special Education Department has designed a Special Day Class Program that addresses, not only the individual needs of all students, but facilitates learning, inspires creativity and actively engages students in several subject areas.

For the past ten years, teachers Rogelio Galvan and Kiki Madison have worked as special educators, side by side at EHS. Their focus this year, and in years to come, is to combine lessons, resources, ideas, and personal teaching strengths in order to best serve students with special needs at all levels. Students will have the opportunity to continue learning material in a supported classroom setting, as well as in the community and most importantly in general education elective classes with their peers.

Keep up the good work, Aztecs!
