Cubs in the kitchen? Only at Kraemer Middle School

Every Wednesday at Kraemer Middle School, nutrition services staff host “Kitchen PRIDE” sessions where students are able to learn various aspects about nutrition, cooking, or healthy eating during the school-wide tutorial period.  In addition to learning, students also have the opportunity to prepare something yummy to eat.

Recently, Kraemer students crafted homemade pico de gallo with ingredients such as chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, fresh jalapeños, salt, and lime juice.  The Kraemer nutrition services staff, led by Vicki Self, prepares these fun and engaging experiences for 50+ Kraemer Cubs each week.
