Placentia police officer pays a special visit to Morse Elementary

Morse Elementary School gets a visit from Placentia Police Officer.

Officer Martinez with the Placentia Police Department recently visited second grade students at Morse Elementary School. Students in Mrs. Korsvall, Mrs. McClelland, and Mrs. Simmons class have been learning about community helpers as part of the new Benchmark Advance reading series. During the unit on Government, students learned about the government at work and how the police keep the community safe and protect citizens.

Officer Martinez visited spent the afternoon with Morse second graders sharing how the Placentia Police Department keeps our community safe! He also emphasized how important it is for students to do their best at school, and to listen to their parents and teachers! It was a real-life connection for the students. The Wildcats enjoyed meeting and spending time with Officer Martinez.
