Valencia High School’s (VHS) CyberPatriot program is in its third year and thriving.\u00a0 CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created to help direct students towards careers in cyber-security or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.<\/div>\n
\"Valencia
\n<\/a>For the 2017-18 school year, the Tigers have eight\u00a0teams of students competing, five of\u00a0which\u00a0have qualified for the state competition at the platinum level (top 30% of teams).\u00a0 This includes a team made up of all girls led by senior, Caroline Bostwick (pictured below).\u00a0 The platinum distinction\u00a0puts the\u00a0Tigers in the running for the national competition.

\nIn addition, VHS had two teams earn gold status (middle 40% of teams) and one earn silver (bottom 30% of teams).\u00a0 Four of\u00a0the school’s teams are “rookie teams” this year.The CyberPatriot state competition is set to take place Saturday,\u00a0January 20<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 Good luck, Tigers!<\/p>\n
