For a second year, Woodsboro Elementary School students\u00a0participated in a community service project sponsored by the Disneyland Resort for all\u00a06th graders in the City of Anaheim. The ten year \u201cHappiest Class on Earth\u201d project requires students to participate together in an endeavor that gives back to the community.<\/p>\n

The sixth graders worked hard all year recycling aluminum cans and plastic bottles.\u00a0 The Honey Bees collected over $1,500 to\u00a0purchase materials to create more than 250 individual hygiene kits for displaced families living in emergency housing.\u00a0 The students also wrote personal notes of encouragement that they placed in each kit as they assembled them. The kits will be delivered to the Orange County Social Services Department where they will be used as \u201cemergency stock\u201d to help whenever needed.<\/p>\n

In recognition of their service, Disneyland Resort will provide these students and their teachers with an end-of-year field trip to Disneyland.\u00a0 Great job, Woodsboro!<\/p>\n
