{"id":12048,"date":"2018-03-30T12:08:06","date_gmt":"2018-03-30T19:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=12048"},"modified":"2018-03-30T12:10:33","modified_gmt":"2018-03-30T19:10:33","slug":"mabel-paine-students-combine-spring-and-stem-with-fun-engaging-activity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=12048","title":{"rendered":"Mabel Paine students combine spring and STEM with fun, engaging activity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miss Depsky\u2019s and Mrs. P-J\u2019s special education class at Mabel Paine Elementary School recently integrated during a spring party to embark on a STEM activity that required fine motor skills, as well as physical and mental expertise.<\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs were tasked with building a house, a tent, a vehicle, or any structure of their choice out of three materials &#8212; toothpicks, jelly beans, and marshmallow Peeps. This delicious and engaging activity was equal parts entertaining and difficult.<\/p>\n<p>Students were so proud\u00a0of their hard work, that some of\u00a0them even took their finished structures
