The R.E.A.C.H. Foundation, in partnership with Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD), held it’s 4th annual Spelling Bee on Saturday, April 14 at the Performing Arts Center. The District-wide “Bee” is sponsored by Placentia Rotary and Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Clubs, with additional support provided by The Coder School in Yorba Linda.<\/p>\n

Eligible students from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade district-wide gathered to display their spelling skills with confidence. As the day progressed and the words became more difficult, the excitement grew and accolades were felt by all.
\nIt was clear that\u00a0PYLUSD students are\u00a0being prepared for success now and in the future!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the following winners of the R.E.A.C.H. Foundation’s 2018 PYLUSD Spelling Bee!<\/p>\n

4th GRADE WINNERS
\n<\/strong><\/span>1st Place – Zoe Zubia, Brookhaven Elementary
\n2nd Place – Sophia Raja, Golden Elementary
\n3rd Place – Harish Iyer, Golden Elementary

All winners received a trophy and a certificate from The Coder School in Yorba Linda for free coding classes.<\/p>\n

As a side note, R.E.A.C.H. was proud to have had\u00a0their event t-shirts printed by Yorba Linda High School’s Commercial Art class under the direction of Ms. Kelly Fritz.<\/p>\n
