The 43rd Annual Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Band Pageant took place on Wednesday, November 7, at Bradford Stadium in Placentia. Students from all six PYLUSD middle schools and all four PYLUSD high schools joined\u00a0forces to perform as a part of the\u00a0District’s treasured\u00a0tradition.<\/p>\n

Following a performance of parade marches from each band, Dr. Greg Plutko, Superintendent, welcomed all those in attendance including families, students, District personnel, and community members.\u00a0He also offered extensive appreciation to\u00a0the families and supporters of in attendance for their unwavering dedication to PYLUSD music programs and overall student success.<\/p>\n

Eric Samson, the band director at\u00a0El Dorado High School, then directed all ten bands on the field at once as they performed \u201cThe Star Spangled Banner\u201d and \u201cThis Is My Country\u201d together.<\/p>\n

Before a brief intermission and the individual field shows, the high school drumlines combined to showcase their rhythmic skills all together.<\/p>\n

As always, the annual District Band Pageant was a wonderful evening filled with\u00a0creative music,\u00a0imaginative\u00a0pageantry, and\u00a0tons of PYLUSD pride.<\/p>\n
