During her time away from school, Kraemer Middle School 7th grade G.A.T.E. student, Anvi Bhagavatula, recently worked\u00a0with the Yorba Linda Woman\u2019s Club (YLWC) to collect and donate almost 160 purses to victims of domestic violence and human\u00a0trafficking at Grandma\u2019s House of Hope.<\/p>\n

At YLWC’s “pajama night,” Anvi provided an explanation of what the project is and its goals. She collected most of the purses as donations from the community\u00a0while the YLWC helped fill these with journals, makeup, and jewelry.<\/p>\n

\"Purses.\"<\/a>The remaining purses which were not new\/almost-new and could not be used for this event, but were donated to the families at Orange County Connecting Hands instead. The smaller purses (pictured left) were filled with coloring books, markers, and other items for the children of these women.<\/p>\n
